Middlesex Masters Badminton
Masters badminton is a chance to continue to play competitive badminton and also enjoy meeting new players or past acquaintances. We are looking for players over 38 years old who have played at a county or league standard to build up our squads to compete in the following competitions: -
Middlesex County have 6 squads that compete in the Masters’ County Championships. This is a league played throughout the season with age groups from over 40 to over 70 in five-year age bands. Teams are split into divisions, playing home and away against local counties with a national final in April.
Middlesex also play in the Masters’ County Challenge which is a weekend of competition in January with over 125 teams and 1200 players competing in age groups from over 38 to over 70.
Badminton England also sponsor tournaments with different levels, Gold, Silver and Bronze. We have our own tournaments in Middlesex: we have the Middlesex Masters Restricted tournament which is held on the first Saturday in October and the Middlesex Masters Bronze Open on the first Saturday in February both of which are open to all players in the county. Both these are held at the Dome as well.
Finally, on the first Saturday of every month in the season at the Dome, (1pm-5pm) we have a session where the county gets together to have squad practice, play badminton and socialise. So, if you are interested just contact:
